Overview

NovoEd provides machine-generated translations for courses, including the Course Outline and specific content within on lesson pages. If the AI Translation feature is enabled for your course, you can select from the list of languages provided at the bottom of the lesson page.

NOTE: The AI Translation feature must first be enabled by administrators. If you are interested in AI Translation for your NovoEd institution, please contact your Customer Success Manager.

How to select a language

1. Select the language icon at the top right corner of the lesson page.

2. A drop-down menu will appear with the language options.

3. Select the preferred language.

4. Toggle the Auto Translation bar so it turns blue.

5. The lesson page will automatically refresh and display the preferred language.

• Why am I not seeing the option to translate a lesson page?

• What is translated on the lesson page?
  Currently, the following is translated automatically:

  • Content Components: Simple Text, Title, Text with Image, Accordion, Styled Links, HTML

  • Activities: Polls, Surveys

  • User-generated content: Discussion comments, assignment submissions, and assignment submission comments.
