Accessing NovoEd's Mobile App

  1. Open the NovoEd app on your iPhone or Android phone.
  2. Enter your existing NovoEd credentials (email address and password.)
File.jpgNOTE: If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO), you will be asked to enter your organization's NovoEd URL. (For example: NewCo's NovoEd URL is newco.novoed.com so "newco" would be entered in the blank.) Then, you will be routed to your organization's SSO login page.

Side Menu

The side menu that is accessible in the top-left corner of the NovoEd mobile app provides five options:

  1. Switch Institutions: If you are enrolled across multiple NovoEd institutions, this option allows you to access those other institutions.
  2. Language: Set your language preference. See How to Edit Language and Time Zone Preferences for more information.
  3. Settings: Update your Account Basics, Email Preferences, and Language and Time Zone.
  4. Help: Access our NovoEd Knowledge Base
  5. Sign Out

 

Search Bar

The search function in the top-right corner of the NovoEd mobile app allows you to look up key terms from your enrolled courses.

 

My Learning

This tab of the mobile app will contain a list of the courses in which you are enrolled. Select a course tile to enter the course.
 

 

Saved Items

This tab contains all Bookmarks and Downloads you have saved in your courses. Items saved as Bookmarks and Downloads will be available to you for offline viewing. Downloaded content will be downloaded within the NovoEd mobile app. Please note that you must be online to participate in discussions, assignments, quizzes, and activities that require interactions with course members.
 
 
To Download Content for Offline Viewing
  1. In the NovoEd mobile app, select the Saved Items tab at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Select the Downloads tab.
  3. Choose the desired course. You will be re-directed to a course outline. 
  4. Select the cloud icon to download an entire section or individual lessons. A green checkmark will appear when your download is complete.

To Remove Downloaded Content

  1. In the NovoEd mobile app, select the Saved Items tab at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Select the Downloads tab.
  3. Choose the desired course. You will be re-directed to a course outline. 
  4. Select the ellipsis icon [...] in the top-right corner. 
  5. Choose Remove all Downloads or Select Downloads to Remove. If selecting downloads to remove, select the red X icon next to the content you wish to remove.
  6. Select the blue Done link in the top-right corner.

Mobile Push Notifications

Push notifications are small modals that pop up on your mobile device to remind you and engage with the course. For instance, users may receive push notifications on their mobile device when a course admin has sent a notification to the course or when a Live Event is about to begin. 
 
To enable push notifications, please refer to directions provided by your device's manufacturer.
 
 

Tablets

NovoEd's mobile app is only optimized for use on iPhones and Android phones. When accessing NovoEd from a tablet, a web browser is recommended for an optimized experience. See our article, NovoEd Technical Requirements and Browser Compatibility, on preferred and recommended browsers.
