Course Homepage

The course homepage contains five main sections:

1. Left Side Navigation Panel
2. Quick Access Menu
3. Course Progress Tracker
4. Course Outline
5. Community Panel

Depending on how the configuration of your course as well as your course role, you may not have all the features displayed.

Left Side Navigation Panel

When entering NovoEd, a dark gray bar is located on the left side. This is your left-side navigation panel, which will always be accessible within the institution.

Icon	Title	Description
	Account Settings	Account Settings allows you to manage your NovoEd account. The options = include: Profile, Account Settings, Language, Switch Institutions, Privacy Policy, and Sign Out. See How to Edit Your Profile, How to Edit Language and Time Zone Preferences, and/or How to Switch Institutions for more information.
	Announcements	Announcements include any announcements sent from course administrators.
	Notifications	Notifications include a variety of notices specific to your courses. Notifications may include assignment deadline reminders, notices that your submission has been reviewed, notice that you have been tagged in a discussion comment, and more. 	Messages	Messages includes private messages sent from participants.   See How do Messages Work?f or more information.
	Dashboards	Dashboards will direct you to your role-specific dashboards to view and access your courses. If you have multiple roles (such as Course Admin and Learner), you will have a dashboard for each role type. See Learner Dashboard, Course Admin Dashboard, and/or Navigating the Mentor Dashboard for more information.
	My Learning	My Learning is a fly-out panel with links to your enrolled courses.
	Teams & Groups	Teams & Groups is a fly-out panel with links to the Teams and Groups Workspaces of which you are a member. See Collaborate with Your Team for more information.
	Practice	Practice is a fly-out panel with links to view the Practice Rooms of the video and/or audio practice activities you have completed in your courses. See Practice Room for more information.
	Bookmarks	Bookmarks is a fly-out panel the lists the bookmarks and notes you have taken within NovoEd. See Bookmarks and Notes for more information.
	Search	Search is a fly-out panel that allows you to search content across your course(s) using key words. See How Do I Search Lessons for Content? for more information.

Quick Access Panel

When accessing a NovoEd course, a icons are displayed in the top-right corner. This is your quick access panel, which will always be accessible within the course.

Icon	Title	Description
	Home	Home will lead you back to the course homepage.
	Course Admin Tools	Course Admin Tools reveals a list of course admin functionalities. This is only viewable by a Course Admin.
	Submission Gallery	Submission Gallery will direct you to a gallery of learner's assignment submissions. This option must be enabled in the Quick Access Menu.
	Discussions	Discussions will direct you to a list of all discussion posts across the course. This option must be enabled in the Quick Access Menu.
	Leaderboard	Leaderboard will direct you to a list of learners in order according to the points they have accrued in the course. This option must be enabled in the Quick Access Menu.
	Help	Help will display a fly-out menu designed to give learners options on how to receive help within the course. This option must be enabled in the Quick Access Menu.
	More	More will display user directories, including a Teams Directory, Groups Directory, Learners Directory, and Teaching Team Directory. This option must be enabled in the Quick Access Menu.
	AI Translation	AI Translation will allow users to translate course content into their selected language. This option must be enabled at both the organization and course levels

Accessing Lesson Pages

To access a lesson page from Course Home:

1. Enter the course home.
2. Select the blue START LEARNING or RESUME LEARNING button or select a lesson from the course outline.

To access a lesson page from a lesson's Course Outline:

1. When visiting a lesson page, the course outline is displayed on the left side.
2. Collapse/expand sections to reveal lesson pages.
3. On this course line, select the lesson page you wish to access.

To access lesson pages from the bottom navigation:

• When visiting a lesson page, a divided bar is displayed at the bottom of the page. Each portion of the bar corresponds with a lesson page within the section. Select the bar to navigate to the desired lesson page.
• When visiting a lesson page, left and right arrows are displayed at the bottom of the page. Select the left arrow to navigate to the previous lesson. Select the right arrow to navigate to the next lesson.
