Course Admin Dashboard
Updated 4 months ago

As a Course Admin, you will have access to two dashboards: the Learner Dashboard and the Course Admin Dashboard. Both are available from your left-hand panel, which you can access from anywhere in the NovoEd platform.

In order to move from one dashboard to the other, click on your profile picture and select the one you are trying to access.

If you select "Course Admin Dashboard" you will be brought to your Course Admin Dashboard.

From here, you will be able to view courses at a high level, see which courses were last visited, and search for courses you have admin access to, all in one place.

If you select "Learner Dashboard" you will be brought to the Learner Dashboard. From there, you will see all the courses where you are enrolled as either a learner or course mentor.

Course Admin Dashboard | Home Page:

The center of the dashboard is designed to manage any courses that you have, will, and are accessing as an admin on the NovoEd platform. The following diagram illustrates the multiple functionalities of the dashboard. You can access each of these functionalities by clicking on each component.

Course Admin Records:

You can find any course hosted on the NovoEd platform from the left-hand side of the dashboard.

1. "Active": Reveals all currently running courses.

2. "Future": Reveals all upcoming courses.

3. "Past": Reveals previously run courses.

4. "Demo": Reveals courses built for internal use.

The Course Admin Dashboard list can be sorted by choosing one of the options in the dropdown menu below:

mceclip4.png

Last Activity: This indicates the date of when you last visited a lesson page within the course.

Release Date: The release date indicates when learners have access to the platform. You can organize your courses from most to least recent, and vice versa, by selecting the arrow icon. This will sync with all other categories in this section of the dashboard.

Start Date: The course start date will show on the course flyer. This date is most important for time-based lesson components and due dates.

End Date: The end date indicates the end of a course. As with the release date, you can organize your courses from most to least recent, and vice versa, by selecting the arrow icon. This will sync with all other categories in this section of the dashboard.

Close Date: The close date will close access to most features for learners; however, learners will still have limited access to some features (i.e. lesson content will not be accessible, but team workspaces are accessible). For more information on what learners may access after course closure:Course Closure

# of Enrollees: Indicates how many learners have been enrolled in a course. Click on that number to trigger a pop-up window that reveals the number of learners who have been unenrolled by the teaching team. Note that admin and NovoEd employees are not included in the total.

Completion Rate: This field indicates the percent of learners who are in progress and to show how far along they are in the course.

Search function:

The Course Admin Dashboard has a search function within the menu. This can be used to search for a specific course by title name or catalog ID.
