Overview

Practice activities provides learners with opportunities to record practicing scenario-based responses. On their submissions, teaching team members, mentors, and/or peer learners the opportunity to provide feedback.

Within courses, Practice and Practice Feedback activities can be added to lesson pages. There are two types of Practice Feedback activities: (1) Peer Feedback and (2) Skills Feedback. The Peer Feedback option allows learners to provide general comments in the form of text or video responses. The Skills Feedback options allows learners to provide a star rating and text comments specific to the skills that are demonstrated within the Practice response.

Outside of a course's Practice Feedback activities, participants can also leave general feedback comments in text or video response form within the Practice Room. The Practice Room can be accessed by selecting the camera icon in the left-hand side navigation panel.

Permissions

• Teaching Team members, mentors, and peers who are eligible to view submissions (dependent on Practice settings) can leave feedback
• Feedback authors can delete their own feedback
• Org Admins and Course Admins with Instructor or Teaching Assistant permissions eligible to view the submissions can leave feedback and delete feedback left by any user

Directions

To Provide General or Peer Feedback on a Practice Submission:

1. Navigate to the Practice submission either through the Practice Room or from a Peer Feedback activity within a course.
   
   
2. At the bottom of the video, select the green comment icon
3.  A text icon and a camera icon will appear .
   • Select the text icon to provide a text comment. A text box will appear in the Comments tab. Enter general feedback for the learner in this text box. Select the COMMENT button when finished.
   • Select the camera icon to provide a video-recorded comment. Record your comment. Select the ADD COMMENT button to submit your recorded comment.
     
     
4. You will have the option of replying to, editing, or deleting your comment when you hover of your comment.

To provide Skills Feedback on a Practice Submission:

1. Select the submission from the Skills Feedback submission carousel on the lesson page.
2. Scroll to the Skills Feedback section at the bottom of the submission. The section will contain a list of the skills associated with the Practice activity.
3. Select a star rating (up to 5 stars) for each skills. This is required.
4. After selecting the star rating for a skill, a text box will appear where you can leave comments.
5. Select the blue SUBMIT button when finished.
