Instructors can choose between different forms of assessments during your NovoEd course: assignments, quizzes, and peer reviews.
Complete Assignments
Your assignments will be listed in the course timeline on the course homepage along with their deadlines. Assignments are often released on the same day/time the lectures are made available. Check the course progress bars (if enabled) to see how many assignments you must complete to qualify for the Statement of Accomplishment.
Click on an assignment or activity to start.
From there, you will be brought to the lesson page that hosts the same assignment.
The due date is indicated beneath the assignment title. Some assignments may have an evaluation rubric. You can check it out to ensure that the learning objectives are achieved.
Details of the rubric are made available when you click on the icon (highlighted in orange above):
You can start the assignment by clicking directly in the submission field. You can also edit your assignment title by clicking directly on the default title (note that it will have the first name on your profile added on it).
Once you have started the assignment, the "Save as Draft" function will be activated and you can choose either to save the draft for later or submit it now.
Instructors can enable submission approval for assignments, where you may be asked to incorporate feedback on your submitted work before earning credit for completing that task.
You will receive a notification when the instructor has reviewed your assignment and either approved it or sent it back for revision. You can then incorporate any feedback and re-submit.
