The best to provide comments on submissions for a specific assignment is by adding the assignment submission approval workflow. The assignment submission approval workflow allows designated roles to have a dashboard of all submissions that need approval or feedback. The designated approvers may approve or reject a submission by providing private or public feedback. The dashboard ensures that each approver will only see the submissions that have not been approved by anyone else. Please see this feature guide on how to add approval to your feature.
If you do not want to provide comments on every submission or ensure submission quality, please read on to learn how to see all submissions for an assignment and provide comments selectively.
To view all Submissions for a course or for a specific assignment, you can click on the Gallery icon on the course homepage.
In the filter on top of the page you may filter by Specific Assignment and sort by Trending, # of likes, and Recently uploaded, and by All Submissions, Submissions you Liked, or Submissions you Commented on.
Selecting the assignment you want to see will provide you with an overview of all submissions for that assignment. You will then be able to see the submissions of all learners, whether they have chosen to make their assignment visible to other learners or not.
You can click on any of them to see the submission in more detail, like the submission, and scroll down to comment on the assignment submission.
You can use the arrows on the sides of the displayed submission to navigate through submissions for that assignment.
Of course, you can also use the Search bar if you have a specific term, idea, or classmate you are looking for. If you would like to see other submissions by a classmate, you can find their name at the top of the submission which will lead you to their profile, with a list of their other recent submissions.
