Please note, Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) reaches the end of life in August 2021. IE does not follow industry standards, including basic CSS3 and HTML5, and are prone to unexpected eccentricities with web-based applications. Therefore it is a browser we no longer support, nor recommend. Our platform also does not support older versions of Internet Explorer, including versions 8 and 9, due to the lack of support for modern standards. Visit here for more information.

Note on Adblockers: Utilizing AdblockPlus on non-default settings may be incompatible with certain NovoEd features. If you're using AdblockPlus, we recommend to whitelist novoed.com or disable the "Block social media icons tracking" option.
Computer and Operating System Compatibility
NovoEd is a web-based application that natively runs in all major browsers. We recommend using Windows 7 or newer, Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) or newer.
Our application is fully compatible with iOS and Android-based mobile devices and browsers. As well as fully HTML5-compliant, only requiring Adobe Flash on incompatible browsers.

NovoEd is very accommodating to low-bandwidth environments. NovoEd has an international CDN through Amazon CloudFront to provide local asset serving from around the world. We transcode all videos in three resolutions, and the lowest resolution performs well in low-bandwidth environments. Videos are cached locally when viewing, so that students can open the video and wait for it to finish downloading before viewing. All non-video content is highly optimized and loads quickly even in low-bandwidth settings.
