NovoEd provides many different options for collaborating online with your team, including:
Writing on the Team Message Board
You may visit your team workspace and add updates directly from the message box and clicking 'Send'.
These messages will display in your team's 'Messages and Updates' section and your teammates will receive an email alert that a new conversation has started on the Team Workspace.
Using the Team Workspace for Collaboration with Documents
NovoEd provides different options for sharing and working on documents together. When connecting with a Google account, teams can utilize Google Drive and enable Google's suite of products focused around collaborative creation and editing. If you want to create a new Google Drive Document, select 'Create on Google Drive' or if the document already exists, click 'Upload from Google Drive.' You can also add many other types of documents by clicking 'Upload from Computer'.
Once uploaded, if necessary you will have the option to edit the title, export, or delete your documents. Your team members will only have the ability to export to download your documents.
Note: In order to utilize Google Documents in the team workspace, you need to integrate a Google Account (as discussed here).
Schedule a Meeting
You can propose a meeting by either first 'Polling Teammates' Availability' or immediately by selecting 'Schedule a Meeting'. If you are polling teammates' availability, you will be provided with the opportunity to offer several different times, and your teammates will be able to respond with when they are available.
If you click 'Schedule a Meeting' either directly from the workspace or after there is a time chosen through polling, you will then be able to schedule a meeting as below.
Meetings will appear in the bottom right along with the option to start a Google Hangout. All meetings will be displayed based on your respective timezone. If you have questions about timezones on NovoEd, see here.
