NovoEd provides an integration with Workday Learn that allows admins to export and add Workday topics to NovoEd courses. Below is a detailed step by step guide to configure the Workday Learn LMS integration at the Org Level.
Note: To ensure a smooth user experience, a Single Sign-On must be configured. If SSO is not yet configured, please refer to our Single Sign-On documentation and engage with the Support Team by filing a support request.
Org Admin to enable integration and manage tags
Course Manager to add tags to courses
For creating a new CCL for Learn integration, please see the Configure Cloud Connect for Learning guide.
Workday Learn provided user example for their Cloud Connect for Learning Flowchart.
Follow the steps outlined in “Configure Cloud Connect for Learning”
Select NovoEd from the provider list. (Or Test Provider if NovoEd is not yet available)
Notes:
-NovoEd recommends creating a new topic to set as default in the CCL.
-Topics and Tags will be unmapped until first import has occurred.
Capture all Credentials in “Manage Credentials Step:
Note: All 3 URLs, along with the Client ID and Client Secret will be required.
Go through Conclusion and complete the set up.
As an Org Admin, click Admin Tools on the left hand side menu
Click Advanced Settings
From the Advanced Settings menu, click the Integrations tab.
Scroll towards the center of the Integrations tab and click Configure under "LMS Integration"
Choose Workday Learning from the drop down menu at the top of the LMS Integration configuration page.
Once Workday Learn has been selected, input the fields you have saved from the Workday Learn Integration:
Client ID
Client Secret
Auth URL
Tracking URL
Content URL
Once authorization is complete, upload your Topics list from Workday as a CSV.
Confirm the topics you have uploaded as correct:
Mark any Topics you may want applied to all courses by selecting them as default.
Notes:
-Default topics are applied to any Open and Released Production Course.
-Once a topic has been added to NovoEd, it may not be deleted from the User Interface.
If you do not already have a Topic CSV from Workday Learn, you may export them as a spreadsheet from the LMS — Please see steps below:
From the Workday Learn dashboard, click HR Operations and then Learning Admin
On the next page, click the Export to worksheets icon on the right hand corner of the top of the topics list:
Next, click File>Download as...>Comma-separated values (.csv)
All courses will sync to Workday Learn once enabled in your institution provided that the following criteria is met:
Is a Production Course
At least 1 Topic
Is Released and is Open.
A Course Sync Update will occur when any of the following details are updated within the course:
Course Title
Course Description
Course Cover Picture
Default Course Language
Topics
Course Status: Open or Closed
Course can be confirmed sync by looking at the Content ID
